Hi having problem with fiat punto 1.2 elx speedgear 2000 reg. When you select gear in manual or select economy button it is supposed to display on the dash lcd but I get nothing the gear selector is working in manual mode but having to go by ear as to which gear im in. also the eco button does not seem to work at all.
My 3 1/2 yr old FIAT has died 3 times in the past 6 weeks. I charged the battery the first time, which worked for 10 hours, but failed to start again the next day. The dealership then replaced the battery. That was a month ago. I went out of town for 2 weeks & when I returned the car would not start.
12. Mar 25, 2010. #4. Just to update - when i turn the key once to the right all i get is the warning lights, the windows, the headlights etc - it doesn't "wake up" like it normally would - and then attempting to start gives me nothing. The immobiliser light, the battery light, the ! light and the abs light stay on.
SOURCE: oil pan replacement on fiat punto. this is not a big job - infact pretty straight forward -word of warning thou do not buy the replacement pan from e-bay - only tip i can give is once removed leave it standing for 24hours so all access oil is drained - makes it easier to fit new one also a cleaner job and less likely to leak - andy
