I'm talking about gameplay features, and other large differences. Basically I'm interested in whether or not this game is just a prettier version of Warband? Or are there fundamentally different mechanics and improvements?

It seems like even if I wanted to pillage or devastate the prosperity will plumit and the gold i get is so meager. I'm shocked so many people show mercy. I almost always pillage. The fief usually goes to a different clan so I don't care about the prosperity loss, the relation loss to the owner clan is a bit rough tho.
Warband has only Sandbox mode, where VC has both Story mode and Sandbox. VC is great, but the gameplay is totally different than the Warband. Horses play a very small role in VC and ranged weapons are weak. On the other hand battles on foot and thrown weapons are what the game is all about. I like VC, but the gameplay is not one I really would

Mount and Blade is more gamey, it's not as historically accurate, it's generally more vague but it will afford a lot more replayability than Kingdom Come which revolves around the storyline. Kingdom Come is about progressing through the story, Mount and Blade is about the experience. 2. Renn_Hoek.
